    This summer kids camp is designed for adventurous children who love the outdoors. Campers will explore nature, learn essential survival skills like shelter building, fire starting, and plant identification. It’s the perfect outdoor adventure camp for curious young explorers ready to connect with the wild.

    Outdoor Survival Camp for Big Kids!
    Ready to roam the wild? This summer outdoor camp teaches older kids key survival skills—building shelters, starting fires, reading maps, and navigating trails. With expert-led hikes and camping tips, this is the ultimate adventure camp to build confidence and a lifelong love of nature.

  • A detailed gear list will be sent out before each camp, but here are the essentials:

    • Lunch and snacks

    • At least 1 litre of water

    • Sturdy, weatherproof footwear

    • Warm layers, rain jacket, ball cap, and toque

    • Any necessary medication

  • Our camp is designed for kids ages 8 to 13, with two separate groups to ensure age-appropriate activities:

    • Ages 8–10: Focused on fun, exploration, and introductory outdoor skills

    • Ages 11–13: Designed for older kids ready to dive deeper into adventure and survival skills

    This way, every camper gets the right level of challenge, learning, and fun!

  • Camp meets daily at the Nels Nelsen Trailhead in Mount Revelstoke National Park.

  • All of our guides are certified ACMG professionals trained in wilderness first responder care. We are fully equipped to handle injuries and emergencies in remote settings. Safety is our top priority, and we have clear protocols and emergency contacts in place to ensure your child’s well-being at all times.

  • Yes! Simply mention your child’s friend’s name during registration, and we’ll do our best to place them in the same group.

  • This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate levels. We'll be hiking and exploring the wilderness every day, with each day's activities carefully tailored to the group’s abilities. Safety is always our top priority. Our experienced instructors ensure a supportive and well-supervised environment where kids can build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun at their own pace.

  • Yes! Our Survival Skills Camp is perfect for kids of all experience levels, even if it’s their first time exploring the outdoors. We focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where every child feels included, confident, and excited to learn new skills.

  • Typically, electronic devices are not allowed. We encourage kids to unplug and fully immerse themselves in the natural outdoor experience.
